About our Program

Hernando County Crime Stoppers was established in 2005.  This community-based non-profit program is designed to bring law enforcement, the media, and the citizens closer together in an effort to combat crime and make the community a safer place to live. Crime Stoppers acts as a clearinghouse for information and encourages people who know about crimes or about people who have committed crimes to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line. We motivate citizens to provide information on felony crimes by offering financial rewards and guaranteeing anonymity. People remain anonymous when they call and there is no caller ID. We do not know who you are.

You MUST provide the information directly to Crime Stoppers to be eligible for a reward. Contacting law enforcement first will disqualify you.

Mission Statement

The mission of Hernando County Crime Stoppers is to empower the community to have safer neighborhoods, schools, and work environments by providing a voice that citizens can use to stand against criminals without fear of retaliation.
